Support through life transitions

Big changes, good or hard, can shake your sense of balance. Get support to find your footing again.

How can therapy and medication help during life transitions?

A new job, a move, a breakup or divorce, becoming a parent, retirement or losing someone you love can all turn life upside down. Even welcome changes can bring stress, grief and uncertainty.

Therapy gives you space to make sense of what is changing and build the coping skills to move forward. If stress has turned into ongoing anxiety, depression or sleep problems, we can also talk about whether medication might help.

  • Talk therapy. Process what you're going through, adjust to new roles and routines, and focus on what you can control.
  • Medication management. If a transition has led to lasting anxiety, low mood or insomnia, medication may help for a time.
  • Both together. Get practical and emotional support side by side, from one practitioner who knows your story.

Questions

Questions about life transitions care

Can't find your answer? Contact us or call +1 (240) 593-2260.

Do I need a diagnosis to get help?

No. You don't need to have a mental health condition to benefit from support during a hard change.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on you. Some people find a few sessions enough; others prefer ongoing support. We'll review your goals together.

Can you help with grief?

Yes. Loss is one of the hardest transitions, and therapy can help you grieve and adjust at your own pace.

Is this covered by insurance?

Therapy is often covered by insurance. Call us and we'll check your plan before your first visit.

Ready to feel more like yourself?

Book a secure video visit, usually within the week. Covered by most major insurers.
