How can therapy and medication help with ADHD?
ADHD is more than being easily distracted. It can affect how you plan, start and finish tasks, manage time and handle your emotions, at work and at home. Many adults go years without a diagnosis and blame themselves for struggles that have a real, treatable cause.
At Fawpearl, care starts with a careful evaluation of your history and day-to-day challenges. From there we build a plan that may include medication, practical strategies and talk therapy, and we adjust it as we learn what works for you.
- Medication management. If medication is a good fit, we'll talk through stimulant and non-stimulant options, follow up regularly and follow the rules that apply to prescribing by telehealth.
- Talk therapy. Learn practical skills for planning, routines and staying on track, and work through the frustration and self-doubt ADHD can bring.
- Both together. Many people do best with medication and skills-building side by side, in one place, with one practitioner.

Your care is led by Abimbola Shadare, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She can evaluate, diagnose and treat mental health conditions, prescribe medication and provide talk therapy, so your whole plan lives in one place.

Can't find your answer? Contact us or call +1 (240) 593-2260.
Can ADHD be diagnosed online?
Yes. An ADHD evaluation is mostly a detailed conversation about your history, symptoms and daily life, which works well by secure video. We may also ask you to complete questionnaires before or after your visit.
Do you prescribe ADHD medication?
If medication is right for you, we'll discuss the options, including non-stimulant medications. Some ADHD medications are controlled substances, and we follow the federal and state rules for prescribing them by telehealth.
I was diagnosed as a child. Can you help now?
Yes. Many adults return to care years later. We'll review what has changed and build a plan for your life today.
Do I have to take medication?
No. Medication is one option. Therapy and practical strategies can help a lot on their own, and you decide what feels right.
